World of DB E.C.O. – Interactive 3D Ecosystem
To make the immense diversity of DB E.C.O.—from tunnel construction to digital construction supervision—tangible, we translated a wide range of engineering disciplines into an interactive 3D world. The result is a data-driven ecosystem that makes complex infrastructure projects intuitively explorable via touchscreen and flexibly adaptable for any event.
Client: DB E&C
Agency: Studio Askja
Together with: Katharina Stipp, Dirk Aschoff, Felix Niklas (Dev) and Kai Bergold (3D)
Goal: Development of a virtual ecosystem
How we got there: Through conceptual workshops and the close integration of 3D design, UX strategy, and technical backend development, we turned this vision into reality step by step.
The goal was to make DB E.C.O.'s complex service portfolio an intuitive, interactive 3D experience instead of presenting it in static lists. Through a direct connection to the existing "ProMap" database, technical data and references flow into the application automatically, while a flexible CMS allows for curated playouts tailored to specific trade fair themes. Whether on a large touchscreen or an iPad—users can freely explore the thematic worlds or opt for a guided tour to efficiently discover the competencies and products most relevant to them.
